Ruby Series of Tube Forming Machines

High quality cost-effictive machines, the Ruby Series of tube forming machines offers turnkey solutions for lighter duty applications than our traditional Diamond Series machines require. The Ruby Series pays tribute to our founder, Ruby Overton, and maintains the quality and reliability that Overton Industries has built over 50 years.

Spin Trim Tube Forming Machines

Ruby Spin Trim

Designed for shops with lower volumes and higher part mixes, the All-New Ruby Series Spin-Trim Machine is a workhorse that brings the precision of legacy Overton tube forming machinery to the broader market. The machine focuses on providing a cost-effective solution to shops running tubing from 1”-3” OD. With this one machine a manufacturer can trim the end of a part, and using our quick-change tooling, be able to spin form shapes such as flares and beads. This Ruby Series machine is an upgrade over our legacy machine technology as it incorporates both the scrap ejection capabilities of a trim machine (to get the trimmed part off the trim arbor) as well as the durability of a spin form machine. Lastly, the Ruby Series of machines is built to be modular. The machine can be paired with our other Ruby Series tube forming machines to be placed into a cell for even more efficiency. Place a Spin-Trim machine next to a ram end form machine on one platform and now you have a cellular setup. Even better, add some guarding and a robot and make your parts all day (and maybe all night, too) without the burden of additional labor.

Ram End Tube Forming Machines

Ruby Ram End Form

Building on our legacy of large, heavy-duty, ram end form equipment, the All-New Ruby Series Ram End Form Machine has been designed for lighter duty applications that do not require the rigidity of our legacy equipment. The standard Ruby Series Ram End Form Machine has 15 tons of ram force and is perfect for sizing and shaping tube end forms, piercing and notching, precision insertion, as well as more traditional blanking, bending, and general use stamping. Overton can also customize the tonnage of the machine as well as utilizing servo applications depending on customer requirements. The standard tube forming machine allows for one hit but is capable of being customized with a rotary dial to expand the capability of the machine to run multiple hits in a single clamping of a part.

I/O Sizer Tube Forming Machines

Ruby I/O Sizer

The modern Ruby I/O Sizer is a mainstay of tube forming manufacturers. Utilizing simple tooling with fast cycle times, the machine is a must-have for anyone making tubular components. Our hydraulic machine handles tubes from ¾” up to 3” diameter and typically up to .083” wall thicknesses, depending on material. It is versatile and can do a variety of applications like sizing, flaring, beading, and more. The most popular application of the sizer is to expand or reduce the end of a tube, typically one wall thickness so that the tube can be inserted into a mating part. This is a simple, yet critical, part of the manufacturing process and the Ruby Series I/O Sizer was purposely built to meet this exact challenge. If you want to up your game, the machine can be paired with our other Ruby Series tube forming machines to be placed into a cell for even more efficiency. Place an I/O Sizer next to a Spin/Trim machine on one platform and now you have a cellular setup. Even better, add some guarding and a robot and make your parts all day (and maybe all night, too) without the burden of additional labor.

Ruby Hydraulic Press

No machine does more for fabrication than a hydraulic press. Our standard Ruby Series Hydraulic Press comes in a 10 and 30 ton configuration. While the standard machine can run most parts, they are highly customizable to be able to add items like LVDTs for positioning and pneumatic die lifters for ease of die change. The machines are built in a C-Frame style to maximize rigidity and allow for flexibility on length of parts. The machine can be paired with our other Ruby Series tube forming machines to be placed into a cell for even more efficiency. Place a Hydraulic Press next to a Spin/Trim machine on one platform and now you have a cellular setup. Even better, add some guarding and a robot and make your parts all day (and maybe all night, too) without the burden of additional labor.
