Sales & Applications Engineer - Tool & Die

 POSITION SUMMARY

This position is for a Sales Representative/Sales Engineer based in the Indianapolis market who will report to the Sales/Division Manager. We are looking for a hunter, someone who loves to sell, solve problems, and has proven they can further develop an existing territory of business. Any candidate must have prior success selling custom engineered services in a competitive market.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

This position requires all aspects of the sales process. Therefore, candidates must have a track record of finding, qualifying, and closing business, and be used to selling to the Management or C-Level in the Industrial or Corporate environment.

Candidates must also:

  • Be used to high levels of activity and managing a full calendar of meetings and prospecting.
  • Sell consultatively and not on price.
  • Be humble in their approach, yet relentless in their efforts to achieve their goals.
  • Have a technical mindset and enjoy the thrill of complex/technical transactions.
  • Have the ability to absorb information around a vast line of services.
  • Be effective at creating new opportunities and understand the importance of finding new business.
  • Be willing and able to follow a proven sales process that may appear non-traditional at first.
  • Use technology to their advantage.
  • Have strong levels of responsibility and be highly coachable and trainable.

Experience in selling precision machining or production stamping is helpful but not required. Experience in selling Tooling and Dies to companies is a BONUS.
